Eagle Materials Inc., through its subsidiaries (the Company, which may be referred to as we, our, or us), is a leading U.S. manufacturer of heavy construction products and light building materials. Our primary products, Portland Cement and Gypsum Wallboard, are essential for building, expanding and repairing roads, highways, and residential, commercial, and industrial structures across America. Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, Eagle manufactures and sells its products through a network of more than 70 facilities spanning 21 states. Demand for our products is generally cyclical and seasonal, depending on economic and geographic conditions. The Company was founded in 1963 as a subsidiary of Centex Corporation (Centex). It operated as a public company under the name Centex Construction Products, Inc. from April 19, 1994, to January 30, 2004, at which time Centex completed a tax-free distribution of its shares to its shareholders, and the Company was renamed Eagle Materials Inc.
