History and Development of the Company We are one of the leading financial institutions in Korea in terms of total assets, revenues, profitability and capital adequacy, among others. Incorporated on September 1, 2001, we are the first privately-held financial holding company to be established in Korea. Since inception, we have developed and introduced a wide range of financial products and services in Korea and aimed to deliver comprehensive financial solutions to clients through a convenient one-portal network. We have experienced substantial growth through several mergers and acquisitions. On February 1, 2019, we acquired a 59.15% interest in Orange Life Insurance, the former Korean unit of ING Life Insurance, as part of our efforts to diversify and enhance our non-banking businesses.
